I purchased a unit, Model: KD-X320BTS from Crutchfield back in March. They were great! Fast shipping. reasonable prices and included all the connection wiring and instructions needed. It was one of the easiest installs EVER.
What I was looking for when I purchased this unit was one that was Bluetooth compatible as well as compatible with SiriusXM. This one was.
I took my Samsung Galaxy S4, paired it right up to the unit with no problems. I could listen to Pandora, IHeart or locally stored music with no problem. Make calls with the included microphone with better than reasonable quality. All was good in the world.
Then, I got an LG G4 phone. I couldn’t get it to pair with the radio to save me. I thought it was the phone. So, I went to the Sprint Store and “borrowed” another G4. Same issue. Borrowed their Galaxy S6, same issue.
I called JVC Customer Support (yeah right). They said it was a compatibility issue with the phone. Really? Two brands? Same issue? I’m thinking not, but hey… who knows.
It connected and paired just fine with Alpine, Sony and another one I don’t remember. There were 6 or 7 JVC radios on the wall. Could not get it to pair with any of them.
The JVC Representative said I might have a defective radio. Really? Then every single one of them at Best Buy is defective as well. But the Sony’s were not. Nor the Alpine’s. Or the Pioneer’s. How’s that work again?
So next she tells me I need to remove the radio from my vehicle and “take it back saying it’s defective”. No. Your engineers need to figure out what they are doing wrong and fix it. Period.
I will never ever own another JVC product again. Ever. I will be purchasing a Pioneer or Sony in the next week to replace that piece of crap JVC.
