So, I knew yesterday when I saw the workers up on the tower behind my house that I was going to have even more problems with my Sprint Wireless service.
I didn’t really have time last night to check after we got home from Tracie’s roller derby bout and I really didn’t feel up to it anyway.
Today I checked and sure enough. What used to be 4G service is now 3G. YAY FOR THE UPGRADE!
I updated the PRL and the PROFILE and power cycled the phone and still 3G.
As I always do, I take to social media to bring this to their attention.
Here we go with the nonsense once again.
I sent them a “tweet” and here is their reply:
sprintcare: Finishing up an upgrade which is why they’re out there. Intermittent service until theyre done. Have you tried profile update? *MAL
Well that is interesting, because the reply I got from, presumably, the same social media team via email was a bit different.
Thank you for writing to us. The tower that services your area shows that the installation of 4G 800mHz was completed yesterday. Please power cycle your device, update your data profile and make sure that 4G is turned on. Please run another test and let us know the results. We appreciate your help.
