UPDATE II – Finally got to a senior level technician. He took care of finding the issue and notifying people that needed to be notified. Its still broke but I have a little more confidence in this now. Still don’t like Sprint. But we’re getting a little better.
UPDATE: While I was typing this, I called Sprint to get an update. Spent 20 minutes with the first level support poking around and found the tower was still down. Nothing more. She transferred me to “the department that deals with the towers.
What do they say? We don’t show any towers down in your area, what problem are you having?
Are you kidding me? REALLY? Does your fucking left hand have any clue what your right hand is doing?
I went with Sprint Wireless because they were doing upgrades and increasing coverage in my area. And they offered unlimited data on their towers and this is a good thing. I have a tower in my back yard. Literally.
On August 11th the tower went down and I am without service at home.
The latest update I received was:
Is he walking from Alaska or what? The screen shot above is from my phone this morning sitting at my dining room table. Does it look like its been repaired to you? Me either.
On top of this, if you call them, the status of the tower will be different depending on the technician you talk to. I got into an argument with a simple minded little twit over this. He was stating there was no outage. When one of his more intelligent colleagues stated there was not more than 20 minutes prior. They did it in Twitter too.
When I challenged them on it, they replied:
If you are coming up for an upgrade or the end of your contract, do NOT use Sprint. Grab a damn burner phone or whatever. Sprint totally sucks, their customer service is sub par and most of them don’t have a clue.
I will not renew my contract with Sprint. Ever.
